Precious metals preparations are organic compounds of precious metals and base metals supplied in a form ready to use on glass, porcelain and ceramics. Preparations are supplied in a consistence suitable for the application; when they dry up, a corresponding thinner is to be added. The objects to be decorated must be cleaned and dried ordinarily and the preparation is to be applied in an even layer. Having been dried they are to be fired in a well ventilated (at least to 450°C) kiln up to temperatures: porcelain: 780-880°C, glass: 560-580°C, ceramics: 780-880°C.
